This guy!
I have won a New England Press Association award for a story on NASCAR. (Also didn’t watch a single nanosecond of the race.)
My byline appeared numerous times in The Village Voice. (Would brag that it was above the fold, but it’s an alternative weekly. There is no fold!)
I once engaged in a warm-hearted discussion on the topic of McDonald’s French fries with The Flaming Lips’ Wayne Coyne. (Then arm-wrestled over the #1 dipping sauce. Or didn’t.)
I oversee all aspects of content creation for a company that provides lending technology and marketing automation solutions to one-third of the top 30 mortgage lenders in the country. (The gig that pays the bills.)
Overall, I have been a professional writer and editor for almost three decades. I spent the first seven years of my career as an award-winning sports editor and writer for various newspapers in the New England area and then five years as a magazine editor. Since then, I have dabbled in public relations and marketing for several companies. Additionally, I was a freelance music journalist for more than a decade.
I am also the author of 1978: The Birth of Moneyed Modern Football (Pitch Publishing, 2025) and Manchester City: The Genuine Soap Opera Club (Legends Publishing, 2023).
On a personal level, my family is too large, my record collection is not large enough, and my spice rack is just right. In job interviews, when asked to share an interesting fact about myself, I typically bring up winning “Star of the Day” on WBZ’s “Community Auditions.” I played the “Love Boat” theme on my celestaphone.
